Analyzing a Kerrang Contents page...

Kerrang's contents page consists with a similar them to the cover with the same fonts and colours, and the same use of using band names for titles. However, the first thing I noticed is there are a lot more pictures than on the cover. I also noticed there are a lot more images on the cover page rather than just one or two, for instance, this issue of Kerrang! features 7 separate images. There's also a paragraph of text from the Editor and a quote from a famous featured band member that sounds interesting an dmakes you want to read into it. The title is in the top right corner and it features the number of the issue below it.
I've also noticed that the title above the list of contents is the same colours as the headings throughout the list but invented which makes it still look appealing, however, also means it still stands out. All of the numbers are in bold, and all of the headings.  such as 'News' have a dark contrasting background with the bright yellow writing over the top to catch the eye. This makes these certain parts stand out a lot more than others such as the editors letter, which has no text within it highlighted and no bold or coloured text.

There's also one main image with smaller ones around it. It's quite a simple image in neutral colours. All images have a number linking to the page the band featured are on. along with a small explanation. The pictures are in different sections which have been divided by thin lines which i feel separates the page more, making it look organized and appealing. There is only 3 featured main colours which are Black, White and Yellow. Out of these, there is only one bright colour which is yellow, which means that everything in yellow will stand out more. Keeping colour and font consistent with variation to a minimum, the page looks a lot more pleasing to the eye and not as busy, considering there is a lot going on with using the 7 images. This makes it look very appealing!
